What a year it’s been for the NPL NSW Men’s competition as Round 22 all but ended in what were huge scenes as Sydney Olympic were crowned 2022 Premiers at the death.
With the regular season coming to an end so has the ‘Team of the Week’ segment with Round 22 being the final one of the season.
We finished off with a strong backline as Marconi’s Nathan Millgate, Wollongong Wolves’ goalscoring defender Banri Kanaizumi, Sutherland Sharks’ fan favourite Chris Lindsay and Sydney United 58’s Jordan Roberts make up the pack.
Chris Parsons had a cracking match as keeper for Sydney Olympic, as he takes control of the number 1 jersey with regular shotstopper Nick Sorras nursing an injury.
The midfield looked stacked with Olympic’s livewire star Adam Parkhouse, Stallions’ Brandon Vella, Manly United’s Brazilian maestro Bruno Mendes and United 58’s Taisei Kaneko all impressing.
While finally Manly United’s Tom Fay and 2022 Golden Boot winner Roy O’Donovan from Olympic finished up what is a quality final line-up for the season.
Congrats to all players for their inclusions in this week’s Round 22 NPL NSW Men’s ‘Team of the Week’ and stay tuned for the NPL NSW Men’s ‘Team of the Year’ coming soon.
