Rockdale Ilinden have sent a stern message to the rest of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition with the signing of three new faces, Diego Celis, Daniel Collins, and Iain Ramsay.

Celis comes across from Premiership rivals APIA Leichhardt FC where the ace Argentine-born attacker hopes to spark up a good partnership alongside the competition’s leading goalscorer and club captain Alec Urosevski.

Looking to bolster the club’s defensive stocks, Daniel Collins has made the move from Landen Stadium to Rockdale. The tough tackling no nonsense stopper was looking for more game time after being a starter for Mark Crittenden’s side for the last few years – this year however Collins has not seen much time where he now hopes to cement a spot in Paul Dee’s squad.

Finally, a former Philippine international, 35-year-old Iain Ramsay has returned to Australia following his nine-year journey playing abroad.

The Western Australian did play in the NPL NSW Men’s competition previously with Sydney Olympic FC in 2010 before making the move to A-League outfits Adelaide United and Melbourne City then turning his attentions abroad.

Capped 36 times with the Philippines, Ramsay spent time playing club football in Iran, Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand.

All three players are expected to play in this Sunday’s Round 21 fixture at home to the Wollongong Wolves on Sunday.
