Sydney FC 3 v Hills United 1 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

Sydney FC continued its push to fight off relegation following a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Hills United at Ilinden Sports Centre on a chilly Tuesday evening.

The young Sky Blues got off to a flyer as Oscar Fryer put Sydney FC ahead before Byron Ginn equalised for the visitors a minute before half-time.

Mathias Macallister continued his good run of form scoring his third goal in two matches as he put FC in the lead before Fryer added his second and the team’s third goal from the spot to secure the three valuable points and put pressure on Hills on the league ladder.

Western Sydney Wanderers 3 v Central Coast Mariners 5 at Wanderers Football Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Central Coast Mariners secured a vital 5-3 win against a hapless Western Sydney Wanderers outfit at Wanderers Football Park on Wednesday night.

The Wanderers took the lead in the game but couldn’t get anything from this important game in the midweek. Marcus Younis gave them the lead in the 11th minute then completed his brace in the 56th minute to make it 2-2 then assisted substitute Rushonn Tafunai who nodded home for 4-3.

Mariners showed remarkable grit to turn the contest around after being down 1-0 early in the game. Donatien Niyonkuru equalized in the 28th minute then Arthur De Lima gave them a lead right after half-time before a second goal from Niyonkuru made it 3-2. Substitutes Nicholas Duarte and Prayaag Thapa found the back of the net late to round off the win.

Marconi Stallions 0 v Sydney Olympic 4 at Marconi Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights

The Marconi Stallions were thwarted by a clinical Sydney Olympic side at Marconi Stadium on Wednesday night with the Blues recording a 4-0 win.

There were two goals in each stanza, with Abraham Majok and Roy O’Donovan netting goals before the half-time whistle, followed by Adam Parkhouse and Jack Simmons in the second half, seeing the visitors secure a deserved three points from the match.

Blacktown City 2 v Manly United 0 at Landen Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights

Blacktown City have come away with an entertaining, yet equally as gruelling 2-0 win over Manly United at Landen Stadium.

The hosts collected their sixth straight win at home courtesy of fine strikes from Jak O’Brien who ran onto a brilliant Joey Gibbs pass in the 21st minute.

Five-minutes later the win was almost assured as with his first touch of the ball, Grant Lynch struck the ball past Levi Kaye into the back of the net.

Despite Manly throwing everything at them in the second half Blacktown held on as they continue their quest for first place.

Sydney United 58 3 v NWS Spirit FC 0 at Sydney United Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

Sydney United 58 have returned to the winner’s circle with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over the NWS Spirit on Wednesday Night at the Sydney United Sports Centre.

Both sides came into the clash down several key players but after an even first half, it was United 58 who ran away with the result in the second half.

Carlos De Oliveira opened the scoring with a screamer from a free-kick in the 22nd minute, in what would be the only goal of the first half.

Alessandro Lacalandra doubled the lead on the other side of halftime whilst Patrick Antelmi made his impact felt off the bench with United 58’s third goal just after the hour mark.

St George FC 1 v Rockdale Ilinden 4 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

Current National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW League leaders Rockdale Ilinden brushed aside St George FC in its pursuit of the Premiership in a cold and chilly Round 19 Wednesday evening fixture at the Ilinden Sports Centre.

Alec Urosevski showed why he is one of the best ever players to grace the NPL scoring a brace bringing his tally to 18 goals for the season while goals from Brendan Cholakian and Lochie Constable cancelled out St George’s late consolation via Jesse Spang.

Wollongong Wolves 2 v Sutherland Sharks 1 at Albert Butler Memorial Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Wollongong Wolves edged out Sutherland Sharks 2-1 on Wednesday night at Albert Butler Memorial Park to continue their hot streak in the NPL Men’s NSW.

Jake Trew put Wollongong in front just after the half-hour mark before Levi Sciuriaga equalised not long after halftime.

Trew scored his second on the hour mark to make it three goals in his last two matches.

APIA Leichhardt 4 v St George City 1 at Lambert Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

APIA Leichhardt have secured an importance three points with a scintillating 4-1 victory against St George City FA at Lambert Park.

The home side opened the scoring inside just four minutes, with Ben Gibson rounding the goalkeeper and converting after latching onto a long ball in behind.

After a flurry of chances, they found their second goal, as Sean Symons calmly converted after receiving a through ball from Jack Armson, before Gibson scored into another empty net after rounding the goalkeeper once more, with the opportunity coming from a misplaced back pass from St George City.

St George looked to launch a comeback, spearheaded by Kosta Petratos who scored from an excellent finish from inside the box, but a brilliant second-half strike from Jordan Segreto and red card to Fumoto Kamada halted the away side’s ambitions, giving APIA the perfect rebound to their defeat to Manly United last weekend.
