Rockdale City Suns snap up Minniecon
IGA NPL NSW Mens 1 side Rockdale City Suns have boosted its playing stocks for the remainder of the season after capturing the prized signing of former Western Sydney Wanderers player Tahj Minniecon.
The Queenslander has come through the QAS system and also spent a year at the AIS before playing for the likes of the then Queensland Roar, Gold Coast United and more recent the Wanderers.
Minniecon was also a former Australian youth international and played for the U20s and U23s.
The 25-year-old’s signing has come at a great time for the club as Branko Culina’s men look towards consolidating a finals series finish.
Minniecon’s first match will be this Sunday when the Suns travel to Edensor Park to tackle Mark Rudan’s Sydney United 58 outfit in what should be cracking match where a number of former A-League players will be on show with the likes of Alec Urosevski, Kaz Patafta, Paul Reid, Themba Muata Marlow, Mirjan Pavlovic and Ante Tomic to name a few.
