Grade 20s Round 5 Preview – PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 1

ROUND Five of the Grade 20s takes place this weekend, with two matches on Saturday and four on Sunday.
The Match of the Round this week takes place at Blacktown Football Park where Blacktown Spartans take on South Coast Wolves.

Match of the Round
Blacktown Spartans FC v South Coast Wolves FC, Saturday 5.30pm at Blacktown Football Park
This week’s match of the round sees South Coast Wolves travel to Blacktown Football Park to take on the Spartans, as both sides look for form after indifferent starts to the season.
The Spartans fell to their second defeat of the season last Friday against Manly United, while the Wolves arrive in Blacktown on the back of a 3-2 away win at Sydney United 58.
Should either side win this match, rather than draw, the result could see the victor rise as high as fourth on the ladder, depending on other results.

Saturday
Sutherland Sharks FC v Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC, 5.30pm at Seymour Shaw
The Sharks return home to Seymour Shaw on Saturday afternoon after their fourth round match at Parramatta FC was washed out last weekend, and will be hoping to maintain their perfect start to the season with a win against Bonnyrigg White Eagles.
The away side’s match against Blacktown City was also washed out, and they remain bottom of the table heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.

Sunday
Sydney Olympic FC v Rockdale City Suns FC, 1pm at Belmore Sports Ground
A nine-man Sydney Olympic managed an impressive two-goal comeback to draw 2-2 with APIA Leichhardt last Monday, while their opponents on Sunday, Rockdale City Suns, suffered a 0-2 loss to Marconi Stallions to leave them second-to-last on the table.
Olympic will again look to Oliver Green for goals after he scored twice against APIA.

Blacktown City FC v APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC, 1pm at Lilys Football Centre
Blacktown City were another side whose match was washed out last weekend, while APIA Leichhardt Tigers arrive at Lilys Football Centre having given up a 2-0 lead to draw with nine-man Sydney Olympic last Monday.
Mid-table with four points from the three matches they’ve played so far this season, City will be fresh after a week off, and looking for a second consecutive win against the Tigers.

Sydney United 58 FC v Parramatta FC, 1pm at Sydney United Sports Centre
Sydney United 58 were beaten by the odd goal in a five in a thriller against South Coast Wolves at the Sydney United Sports Centre last Saturday. They will face a well rested Parramatta on Sunday afternoon after their fourth round match against Sutherland Sharks was washed out.
Both sides are level on four points with the home team sitting one place above Parramatta in fifth.

Marconi Stallions FC v Manly United FC, Sunday 5.30pm at Marconi Stadium
Goals from Marcus Donatiello and Ryan Peterson saw the Stallions to a 2-0 win at Rockdale City Suns last weekend. The home side will look to secure their third consecutive win in their match against Manly United in the late match on Sunday afternoon.
Manly, meanwhile, arrive at Marconi Stadium on a high and in third place after their 2-1 win over Blacktown Spartans in the last round.
