Rockdale Suns Announce Coaching appointment

The Rockdale City Suns FC are pleased to announce its new Coaches for the First Grade team, John Calleja, Paul Reid and Matt Ribarovski.

John Calleja will head our new coaching structure. John is our current 20’s Head Coach and has invaluable knowledge of our upcoming players as well as our First Grade squad.

“I have full confidence in the playing group that we have. I look forward to working with the boys and welcome Paul Reid to the coaching staff, and I know that we’ll be able to get the Club back higher on the ladder, where it should be,” Calleja said.

John will be assisted by Player Coach Paul Reid.

With a wealth of playing knowledge and experience at his disposal, Paul joined Rockdale in 2013 and has been a leader on an off the pitch since his arrival. Paul is excited by the prospects of this new opportunity and is eager to get our season back on track.

“It has been a tough start to the season, but as the most experienced player in the squad, I am really looking forward to being a part of reviving the Club’s fortunes this season.”

Joining John and Paul will be Matt Ribarovski, our current Assistant Coach in the 20’s. 

Matt has worked well with John for a number of years now, and his experience and knowledge will aid greatly in this transitional period.

Matt said he looks forward to the opportunity and challenge in getting Rockdale playing consistent football and climbing the ladder.

Goalkeeper coach Derek Jenkins will continue in his role as Goalkeeper Coach for our senior grades and Technical Analyst for our First Grade squad.

John and Matt will continue in their role in the 20s.

We look forward to our new appointments getting our season back on track.
