Team of the Week: Round 9

It was goals galore in round 9 of the PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 1 competition as 32 goals were scored across six matches with only one clean sheet, which all but shaped this week’s ‘Team of the Week’.
Tomislav Arcaba kept his place in between the sticks for a second consecutive week, putting in another great performance for the Rockdale City Suns as they kept a clean sheet against the Wolves.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles captain Chris Tadrosse continued his fine form this season, earning his place in the defence. Jamie Lobb from Manly United joined him, picking up a goal over the weekend with another solid performance at Edensor Park. Rockdale City Suns captain Askin Oygur was a rock at the back for his side over the weekend as they scored their second victory of the season. Chris Nunes is usually the shining light for the Marconi Stallions and his man of the match performance on Saturday night saw them pick up all three points.
Panni Nikas is really hitting his straps since returning from injury, putting in another good display as his Sydney United 58 side went down on Sunday. The interim coaching role at Rockdale City Suns seems to have lifted Paul Reid as he picked up the man of the match tag on Sunday afternoon. Patrick Antelmi put in an outstanding performance for Blacktown City on Sunday, being named best on the park, earning himself a place in midfield.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers gun striker Blake Powell scored in his ninth straight game, adding two more goals to make it 13 for the season, an amazing achievement. Robbie Younis ensured the Bonnyrigg White Eagles escaped in a thriller on Saturday night, scoring a hat-trick.
Not to be outdone, Manly United’s Brendan Cholakian also picked up three goals and the man of the match as Manly United came away from Edensor Park with all three points.
