PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 1 side APIA Leichhardt Tigers will face off against former AFC Asian Champions League and Hyundai A-League outfit Western Sydney Wanderers next Tuesday at Leichhardt Oval as part of Tony Popovic’s pre-season campaign.

The fixture against APIA will give the first team-squad another hit-out before the Westfield FFA Cup quarter final against Perth Glory on 29 September and the commencement of the Hyundai A-League season against Brisbane Roar on 8 October.

It’s not the first time the two sides have met with the most recent clash being a pre-season friendly in 2014 with the Wanderers running out 1-0 winners on the night courtesy of a Nikolai Topor-Stanley goal.

APIA finished runners-up during the PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 1 regular season with former Wanderer Adam D’Apuzzo a part of the squad.

Gates open at 4.30pm, with a 5.30pm curtain raiser to be played before the Wanderers kick-off at 7.30pm.
