National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s side Sydney United 58 have announced the appointment of Miro Vlastelica as the new head coach for the remainder of the NPL season.
Vlastelica, who recently completed his ‘A’ Licence, will commence his first team duties effective immediately after the sudden resignation of Jason Culina during the club’s round 8 loss to the Bonnyrigg White Eagles.
Having worked with the likes of new Sydney FC first grade coach Steve Corica as well as Sydney FC NPL Coach Robbie Stanton during his time with the Sky Blues, the 50-year-old will be hoping to reignite the club’s charge for some silverware this season.
Vlastelica was brought to the club initially as the club’s grade 20’s coach this season after coaching the likes of both Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers youth teams.
His first assignment will be to lead the team in what will be a blockbuster affair this Sunday in the Reds’ round 13 clash against Blacktown City at Lily Homes Stadium.
Sydney United 58 currently sit fourth on the NPL NSW Men’s ladder, eleven points adrift of current league leaders Sydney Olympic.
