Sydney United Announces Elite Coaching Line Up For 2019 Season
Sydney united 58 FC is excited to announce its coaching lineup for 2019 season.
Looking to build on the clubs success of 2018 and in particular the highly regarded SAP program, U14, U16, and Senior teams the club has secured an exciting line up of experienced and passionate coaches of the highest caliber.
Heading up the Skill Acquisition Academy program will be club stalwart Steve Spurway who is regarded as one of the best SAP and youth development coaches in the country. Steve understands the needs of young players and his methods are honed after years of coaching from early age groups to seniors, and understanding the most effective pathway to develop a young players talents.
U9 squad will be in the hands of one of the clubs longest serving players and current NPL 1 player Peter Markovic assisted by the clubs all time highest goal scorer and ex A league striker, Luka Glavas. Peter continues the clubs tradition of providing opportunities for our players to transition and pursue their coaching ambitions. Peter offers the ideal combination of youth and experience which is perfectly suited to this age group.
U10 and U11 squads will be led by Pat Marando and Steve Spurway Pats reputation as and coach and educator are unsurpassed as numerous years as head coach of both the NSW and Australia schoolboys squads acknowledges. Pat ability to communicate and demand performance brings out the best in young developing players. Preparing our U12 squad for the step to youth football will be none other than ex Socceroo and club legend Jason Culina. His reputation needs no introduction. All young players will benefit from his presence and ability to impart the vast knowledge and experience he brings from his journey playing as a professional and representing his country at two World cups.
Heading up the Youth Academy U13-U16 and an impressive coaching roster will be capped Socceroo and long serving club youth coach Tony Krslovic.
The clubs blend of highly competitive, technical and intelligent football will be supported by a highly talented, experienced and integrated coaching line up.
U13 squad will be nurtured through the transition from SAP to competitive Youth Football by highly acclaimed development coaches Jason and Glen Trifiro. Glen continues to be one of the club’s and the NPL’s best players after a successful A league career and while developing a highly successful football school with ex A league professional, brother Jason.
The brothers are perfectly placed to further develop the technical and tactical skill foundation established through our SAP program and required for a successful transition to youth football.
The U14 squad will be under the guidance of former A League professional, current SU58 player and full time coach Matt Sim. A youth coaching professional and talented pro footballer, Matt’s experience as a player and years of coaching will be a great asset to the club.
In the U15 squad, Jerry Bilokapic will continue to impart his many years of experience gained as the assistant to Mark Rudan in the clubs 1st Team to further the develop his current and highly talented U14 squad. Jerry’s strengths as a motivator and man manager and now developer of youth talent prepares young players well for a transition to senior football.
Tony Krslovic will head the critical age group of U16 imparting a firm and steady hand, emphasising confidence and tactical knowledge in preparation for senior football. A firm believer in promoting youth to senior football in a measured and systematic way, Tony is the perfect mentor to young aspiring players.
Continuing his successful tenure as club Goalkeeper Coach is Vitas Males. A charismatic individual with a talent for bringing out the best in his players, Vitas’s methods have proven success throughout youth and senior levels.
