National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s outfit Hakoah Sydney City East have picked up a major signing within their ranks by recruiting former Sydney FC and Central Coast Mariners defender Predrag Bojic for the remainder of the NPL NSW Men’s football season.
The 35-year-old decided to call time on his football career with the Sky Blues in 2015 and since then has concentrated on his personal fitness business but the passion of returning to the world game was always running in the background of the former Australian youth international.
The big defender, who also played for the likes of Parramatta Power, Sydney Olympic and Sutherland Sharks as well as spending three season’s with English side Northampton Town, will no doubt add some much needed experience that Gavin Rae’s side has lacked thus far in the NPL NSW Men’s season.
Rae may bring in Bojic straight into the squad in the club’s round 12 clash against his former side in the Sydney FC NPL side at Lambert Park on Saturday which has been labeled as a must win for the club.
Hakoah Sydney City East currently sit at the foot of the NPL NSW Men’s ladder in twelfth spot with seven points, just a point away from the Sutherland Sharks, much is the importance of getting the three valuable points against the Sky Blues on Saturday.
Bojic’s marauding runs up the field as well as his presence will no doubt play a key role in the club’s hopeful push for more points as well as assisting their quest in getting further up the Club Championship ladder.
