Stallions produce their third junior International in 2019

Hot on the heels of the selection of Lachlan Sepping (Australian Joey’s U17) and Daniel Helweh Australian Joey’s U15) comes the news that Marconi Stallions FC Goalkeeper Chloe Carmichael has been chosen in the Junior Matilda’s Under 16 squad.

The recently turned 16-year-old is in her first season with the Stallions having made the switch from the NSW Institute where she played for three years.

Chloe’s goalkeeping skills were further tuned with two seasons at Blacktown Spartans.

A student in Year 10 at William Clarke College at Kellyville, Chloe is also in the West Sydney Wanderers W League train on squad.

This is Chloe’s second camp with the Junior Matilda’s. Earlier this year she travelled to Laos and played four matches for Australia. (won all four).

The Junior Matilda’s will be the first Australian National Football Team to visit the Pacific since the Socceroos in 2005.

Chloe left yesterday and will visit Tonga, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands. The Junior Matilda’s will play matches against the Under women’s National Team in each of the three countries.

Chloe Carmichael is one of six NSW players in the squad.

The tour of the Pacific is preparation for the 2019 AFC U16 Women’s Championship to be held in Thailand in September.
