Rookie National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s coach Nick Dimovski will be hoping that his newly built squad will be one to watch out for as the 2020 season beckons.

After completing a number of successful seasons as the head coach for the club’s 20’s squad which saw him take out three Championships and one Premiership in the last three successive seasons, Dimovski was given his opportunity to shine at the NPL NSW Men’s elite level in 2020 replacing Terry Palapanis who switched to Sydney Olympic.

Dimovski has been busy making his moves announcing a number of players that will play pivotal roles in the hope of giving the Sharks some finals football, something that has eluded the club for twelve seasons.

Headlining the new recruits for 2020 is former Sharks junior and ace marksman Blake Powell. The former NPL NSW Men’s Golden Boot winner returns to the Shire and will play an influential role in hitting the back of the net for his beloved Sharks.

Joining Powell is former Wollongong Wolves and Sydney United 58 attacker Peter Simonoski and ex-Rockdale City Suns and Blacktown City striker Jonathan Grozdanovski forming a pretty mean attacking force.

Dimovski has also secured the services of three ex-Hakoah Sydney City players, experienced club captain Bradley Walker, gun keeper Ryan Norval who returns to the Shire as well as young guns OIiver Green and Connor Shaddock.

One key player that will definitely have a huge impact on the squad is former Blacktown City midfielder Mason Versi. The talented youngster, a Shire junior, has found his way back to Seymour Shaw and will hope he can work his magic in the team’s midfield.

Former Western Sydney Wanderers NPL product Andrea Agamemnonos has also been brought to the club with huge wraps placed on the young midfielder’s head.

Club captain Marc Warren will once again steer the ship at the Sharks with Patrick O’Shea, Blair Brown and Lachlan Everett all being re-signed from the 2019 squad while the club has continued on its successful cycle of developing youngsters from its youth teams handing out first grade contracts to Brodie Clarkson, Harry Sutherland, James Temelkovski, Thomas Papa, Adam Massoud, Jarred Wiley, James Carlie and Mario Aleksic.

One thing’s for certain, watch out for the Sharks to be potential ‘darkhorses’ in the race for the 2020 Premiership and Championship.

Dimovski and co will kick of the 2020 season with a round 1 clash against the Marconi Stallions on Sunday 1st of March at Marconi Stadium (7pm).
