Reigning Premiers aiming for back to back titles
The 2019 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s season was a year that the howling Wollongong Wolves will not forget in a long time as Luke Wilkshire’s troops took out both the Premiership and were crowned NPL Champions of Australia.
Not to be outdone by their massive achievements this year, Wilkshire again has hyped up his squad that they’ll be chasing back to back titles as well as hopefully taking out the NPL NSW Men’s Championship.
The Wolves have picked up a couple of new faces set to make their debuts at WIN Stadium with Ethan Kambisios, former St George FC striker Marcus Beattie, Hayden Durose and talented young former Sydney FC attacker Hamish Lamberton all agreeing to terms with the club.
Rising young Wolves stars Liam Wille and Bul Juach have also earned themselves senior contracts after impressive displays in the club’s 20’s squad this year.
Wilkshire managed to re-sign the bulk of his 2019 Premiership winning roster with Brendan Griffin, Chris Price, Darcy Madden, Guy Knight, Harry Callahan, Justin Pasfield, Lachlan Scott, James Stojcevski, Nicholas Littler, Nikola Djordjevic, Stefan Dimoski, Taylor McDonald, Takeru Okada and current NPL NSW Men’s Player of the Year and Golden Boot winner Thomas James.
The Wolves, who won themselves an automatic round of 32 FFA Cup spot in the 2020 knockout tournament, kick off its 2020 NPL NSW Men’s campaign with a juicy fixture against Sydney Olympic at Belmore Sports Ground on Sunday 1st of March (4pm).
