Sutherland Sharks’ well-known football figure Marc Warren may well be one of the fittest players in the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition during this shutdown period as he’s continued to solider on as a Personal Trainer at F45 Sans Souci.
The 28-year-old has been a constant menace pushing his team and clients to the limit with his training sessions whether in person or online even though COVID-19 put an end to the gym and restricted one on one’s via the Government rules and regulations.
“COVID-19 certainly changed the way we operated and did our business as Personal Trainers but fortunately I, like so many others in my position, have adapted in ensuring we remain active.
“During the first lot of lockdown restrictions, putting together online sessions was the norm and that’s what I carried out with the team.
“As the weeks rolled by and restrictions started to ease, bootcamps have kicked off again so we are very lucky to be trading abiding with all State Government regulations.”
On a personal level, the former A-League player has also had the opportunity to reflect on improving on his diet as well as catching up with family in what have been testing times for all involved.
“One hundred percent, since lockdown apart from training quite a lot which has kept my mind sane, the time away from it all has given me an opportunity to change my diet and focus on family and what really matters in life which has been fantastic.”
Football wise, the tough tackling left-back has missed the game he loves but stressed the fact that he has kept himself busy ticking over with F45 sessions daily.
“I am really lucky to be working in a gym so staying fit is a must and its been a routine of mine which has kept me going along with our Live Stream classes that have been a huge hit.
“Nothing beats training on the pitch though and I cannot wait to get back so I can kick someone (laughs) and of course kick a ball.
“I miss football on the weekends more than anything, there is nothing else like it.
“I know though that its real important that we need to take COVID-19 seriously and go by the guidelines of social distancing before we can get back to doing what we love.”
Seymour Shaw is certainly missing the Sharks in action as well as Warren but in the interim, anyone wishing to keep fit, healthy and on the grind can do so by joining in on the Shark defender’s training sessions by emailing Marc on firstname.lastname@example.org
