Milligan soaks up the NPL NSW Men’s action

FROM FOOTBALLER TO BAKER

Former Socceroo skipper and newly announced Macarthur FC marquee Mark Milligan was an interested spectator during the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s top tier clash between APIA Leichhardt FC and Wollongong Wolves at Lambert Park on a cold and rainy Friday evening.

Milligan, who spent some time with current NPL NSW clubs such as Parramatta FC, Blacktown City and Sutherland Sharks, caught up with former teammates as well as former Socceroo and now Wolves coach Luke Wilkshire.

“It’s always good to comeback and watch football and a competition I once was a part of during my time developing as a footballer.

“It’s great to see the game kicking on even during this pandemic, you could tell how much this sport means to the players and officials as well as supporters who were present – it was great to catch up with some former teammates who are still playing the game they love.”

A case of never forgetting where you came from for the 35-year-old who took up a pre-match snap with APIA skipper Sean Symons and Wolves captain James Stojcevski as well as chatting to fans.

Well played Millsy
