Manly United are set to showcase a quality talent in Brazilian attacking midfielder maestro Bruno Mendes for the 2022 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s season after the 27-year-old penned a deal with the Northern Beaches club.

Residing in Dee Why, the Brazilian ‘local’ will no doubt strengthen Adam Griffiths’ squad for the new year as Mendes has joined the likes of fellow new recruits Matt Sim and Thomas Fay.

The crafty midfielder is heavily renowned for his quality touches and skill being a Futsal player also and former a Futsal Premier League Golden Boot award winner in 2019 with the Mascot Vipers.

Mendes showed glimpses of quality as he lined up with Hakoah Sydney City recently where he became one of Luka Hrzina’s main attacking weapons notching up five goals in fourteen matches before the season was cut short due to Covid.

“I am really excited to have signed with Manly,” Mendes stated in the club’s official press release.

“It has been a goal for me to play at my local club where I have lived since moving to Australia.

“I am really looking forward to meeting everyone, working hard aiming for silverware in 2022.”
