Wolves supporting Flood relief
National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s club Wollongong Wolves will be allowing free entry to patrons for their round 3 clash against Sydney FC on Friday night at WIN Stadium with a special reason however, encouraging fans to give a gold coin donation with proceeds going to those affected by the recent flooding in NSW and Queensland.
With two quality matches on hand, the 20s kicking off at 5:30pm and the seniors at 7:30pm, the Wolves are encouraging not just the local community in the South Coast but the football family in getting behind this wonderful initiative.
Wollongong Wolves’ trusty number one custodian Hayden Durose, who also works full-time in the freight industry with Star Track stated the devastation that affected his fellow colleagues at Lismore.
“One of our depots in Lismore sent us photos and everything is pretty much under water,” Durose stated to Football NSW.
“It’s pretty surreal to see these photos and the devastating impact it’s had so our branch manager reached out to our community, and everyone has been amazing donating water, canned foods and more with it going to the locals in Lismore to assist, so we’ve been shipping cages and cages of these items just to assist with some relief.
“That’s we are encouraging as many people to come down and watch us play on Friday as well, donating to help aid and support what’s happened with these floods.”
