It was another actioned packed National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s weekend as round 8 rolled into town with 11 players making this week’s infamous ‘Team of the Week’.
Mr ‘Safe Hands’ himself David Bradasevic kept a clean sheet as Rockdale defeated local rivals Sutherland Sharks 3-0.
He was aided by Brayden Sorge who did his bit in Steve Zoric’s back-line while there were notable performances from big stoppers, Blacktown City’s Daniel Collins and Wollongong Wolves’ Darcy Madden in their respective matches.
A highly talented midfield was next on the agenda with the Stallions’ smooth operator himself Domenic Costanzo making the cut after a sublime performance against Sydney United 58 while Rockdale’s Jaden Casella was all class as he notched up two quality goals against the Sharks.
Although coming on as a substitute in the 64th it was Wolves midfielder Nicholas Duarte that stole the show as he brought the game to life with a fantastic performance that will surely see him figure amongst the starters in round 9.
Closing up the midfield stocks was once again Blacktown City’s star Japanese import Hiroaki Aoyama who has really taken the NPL NSW Men’s competition by storm.
The strike-force was made up of some of the league’s hottest young talents with Sydney FC’s gun attacker Jaiden Kucharski, Blacktown City’s Jordan Smylie and Northbridge Bulls’ Jed Drew finalising what was a decent ‘Team of the Week’ line-up.
