Round 10 we celebrated our wonderful Mothers for their special day on Sunday however we also celebrated our NPL competitions with some exciting match ups that saw us select our ‘Team of the Week’ for Round 10.
Under the sticks and it was a debut call-up for Manly United’s young gun Jack Greenwood who held his own and kept a clean sheet as the Northern Beaches side recorded a 1-0 victory over Sydney United on Friday.
There were four inclusions in the backline this week with a few fresh faces earning selection for decent performances over the weekend.
Sydney Olympic’s Nikola Ujdur, Sutherland Sharks’ Michael Neill, Marconi Stallions’ Nathan Millgate and Rockdale Ilinden’s Brayden Sorge all impressed in their respective matches.
A midfield trio of Manly United’s exciting Japanese star Seiya Kambayashi, Wollongong Wolves’ Josh Macdonald and Sydney Olympic’s Sam McIIIhatton did their part in bagging positions in the eleven.
Finally the strike-force yet again was one to be marvelled with Marconi’s bearded assassin Marko Jesic, Sutherland Sharks’ Lukman Ahmed-Shaibu and four-goal hero Alec Urosevski all winning their spots.
