Round 14 NPL NSW Men’s Team of the Week
The #NPLNSW Men’s season keeps rolling on and we have unearthed this week’s coveted ‘Team of the Week’ nominations thanks to our Football NSW journalist’s player ratings over the weekend.
Anthony Bouzanis, although in a losing side, was the reason why the Sutherland Sharks kept up with Manly United’s pace thanks to several quality saves that kept the Shire boys at bay.
The Defensive unit was stacked this week with four nominees which included Blacktown City’s tall timber defender Daniel Collins, APIA’s cool calm and collected stopper Themba Muata-Marlow, Sydney Olympic’s rising defender Nikola Ujdur and the Stallions’ charismatic hard hitting goal scoring defender Roberto Speranza – all getting mentions this week.
APIA’s Sean Symons, Sydney FC’s Adrian Segecic and Sydney Olympic’s newest centurion Darcy Burgess made up the midfield pairings.
While finally in attack, Mt Druitt’s Jack Stewart continues to be one of the club’s few saviours pulling in great performances alongside Wollongong Wolves’ fleet footed star Leroy Jennings.
And finally, Magnifico Mendes, that’s right, Manly United’s Brazilian maestro Bruno Mendes played a huge role in the Northern Beaches side’s win over the Sharks as well as grabbing the headlines for possibly scoring the ‘Goal of the Season’.
If you haven’t checked it out please do so in our highlights for that clash this week.
Congrats to all players for their inclusions in this week’s Round 14 NPL NSW Men’s ‘Team of the Week’.
