National Premier Leagues NSW Me’s side Sutherland Sharks have appointed former player Damir Prodanovic as Head Coach for the 2023 season.

Prodanovic has had a long association with the NPL NSW Men’s competitions firstly as a player for Manly United, Sutherland Sharks and Blacktown City after which he has transitioned into the coaching ranks honing his skills and knowledge in the youth systems at Western Sydney Wanderers, NSWIS and currently with the Northbridge Bulls’ under 20s team.

Prodanovic has had extensive exposure to the A League systems where he has developed an intimate understanding of what is required to set player and coaching standards and pathways in place that will flow right through the Sutherland Sharks Football Club from the senior team down.

Damir will be assisted by close friend, Panagiotis Nikas who is also a former Sutherland Sharks NPL NSW Men’s Player of The Year and long-time marquee of the NPL NSW Men’s competitions.

Nikas will bring his invaluable playing experience from his time in the A-League with the Central Coast Mariners and North Queensland Fury, as well as his current coaching development at the Northbridge Bulls.

Nikas will also take up the role of the Under 20’s Head Coach as he too is looking to enhance his coaching career.
