Labelled as one of the success stories during the 2022 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition, Grand Finalists Manly United will look towards promoting their local stars yet again under the watchful eye of new coach Patrick Zwaanswijk.

The Dutchman born coach has come to Cromer Park replacing 2022 NPL NSW Men’s Coach of the Year recipient Adam Griffiths who has since moved on to the Western Sydney Wanderers’ as their assistant coach.

The 47-year-old former footballer coached with the Central Coast Mariners Academy, Hills United as well as the Western Sydney Wanderers youth before making the move to Manly.

The Northern Beaches based side managed to retain 15 players from its 2022 squad, nine of which are local juniors.

New signings Levi Kaye and Harry McCarthy, two former Manly United juniors have returned to the club while ex-Wollongong Wolves’ defender Bilal Belkadi was also snapped up by Zwaanswijk.

Star imports Bruno Mendes and Seiya Kambayashi resisted offers from rival NPL NSW Men’s clubs as they penned deals at Cromer Park as did rising keeper Jack Greenwood and veteran attacker Matt Sim.

The club have a trial match against the Sutherland Sharks on Saturday 17th of December at Cromer Park (12pm) before going on their Christmas/New Years break, returning to training on the 3rd of January 2023.
