Led by newly appointed coach Paul Dee, Rockdale Illinden will be looking towards some much-needed silverware as the club prepares for a huge 2023 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s season.
After missing out on finals football in 2022, the club moved swiftly in retaining some of its core players with the likes of sharpshooter Alec Urosevski, Bai Antoniou, Jaden Casella, Peter Kekeris, Will Mutch, Daniel Petkovski, David Bradasevic, Mo Ahmed, Nikola Kuleski, Brayden Sorge and Lachie Griffiths all agreeing to terms for the new year.
Ilinden managed to recruit several exciting young talents who will only further complement the core group with former Sydney Olympic duo Mathieu Cordier and Nikola Ujdur, ex-Western Sydney Wanderers midfield Lachie Constable, former St George FC young gun Isaac Danzo and promising keeper Ricardo Rizzo all calling Rockdale home.
Experienced NPL NSW Men’s attacker Brendan Cholakian has also made the move from Belmore to Ilinden while all eyes will be on the club’s Brazilian striker Olavo De Andrede Santos who starred for the Coomera Colts in Queensland this year.
Along with Dee, the club has also recruited former experienced NPL NSW Men’s midfielder Nick Stavroulakis as the assistant coach.
Whatever the case may be, Ilinden will be a club to watch out for as the club prepares for a massive year ahead.
