Sutherland Sharks prepare for new era

A new evolution of football is brewing at Seymour Shaw as Sutherland Sharks Head Coach Damir Prodanovic prepares his troops for a massive year ahead.
A former NPL NSW Men’s player himself, Prodanovic has come through the coaching system having completed all his FFA badges as well as being part of the Football NSW Institute program, Western Sydney Wanderers and Macarthur FC coaching setups.
Holding former NSL great and Socceroo Ante Milicic as his mentor, the young coach has promised to bring a good brand of football to life with the newly look Sharks outfit.
“Of course, ultimately winning is a non negotiable and in senior football you are immediately judged on results, however we want to attain that victory playing and behaving a certain way and following a process. I believe this is the key to building consistency and will increase our chances to win football matches”, said Prodanovic.
“The process we want to follow will increase our chances to win as it provides consistency.
“We also want to ensure that our young footballers are given an opportunity to develop through the club as we also want to keep in mind that developing players is very important to me as a coach.”
Joining Prodanovic is a household NPL NSW Men’s name in former NPL NSW Men’s Player of the Year recipient Panny Nikas who will assist Damir.
The two have worked hard in the off-season transforming the Sharks with the hope that they can instil that winning formula at the Shire once more.
The club has retained the services of Jacob Cremen Cowen, Nick Sullivan, Chris Lindsay, Nelson Lam, Luke Seaur and Evan Ball from the 2022 squad and have brought in ten new faces set to wear the sky blue in 2023.
Former Sydney United 58 defender Jordan Roberts, ex-Mt Druitt Town Rangers pairing of Fumoto Kamada and Louis Khoury, former Rockdale Ilinden star Mitchell Stamatellis and former Wolves striker Hamish Lamberton will all call Sutherland home next season.
The club also secured some exciting young guns with Marko Bulic, Nathan Grimaldi, Brody Clarkson, Alexander Brown and Connor Rose also joining the Sharks.
There are two more players set to make the move to Seymour Shaw which will be announced in due course.
