Cromer Park will be buzzing this Sunday as Manly United and the Manly Warringah Football Association host its annual ‘Back to Manly Day’.

For the first time in the event’s history, both Manly United Men’s and Women’s programs will come together to celebrate as one club, with both the Men’s and Women’s senior sides playing at Cromer Park on the same day.

The annual “Back to Manly Day” is an important date on the football calendar as the club and association reach out to all former players, coaches, administrators, parents and supporters that have played a part in the history of Northern Beaches football, whether it was for Manly Warringah, Warringah Freshwater, Warringah, Manly North Shore United or Manly United.

This Sunday will feature Manly United taking on the Mt Druitt Town Rangers in the NPL NSW Men’s Round 9 clash at 2.30pm followed by the NPL NSW Women’s Round 4 match between Manly United v Football NSW Institute at 5pm.

To celebrate the joint clash with the Men’s and Women’s teams, Manly United will be recognising the early pioneers of the Manly Warringah women’s representative sides.

Manly United CEO David Mason was looking forward to the day and recognises the importance of this occasion.

“This is a very important day on the Northern Beaches football calendar.

“Manly United is proud of our history and the close ties we have with our football community. Back to Manly Day is a chance to get back together and remember what we’ve been through to get to this point.”
