Legends game set to ignite Festival of Football this Sunday
Some huge names have been announced as the highly anticipated ‘Legends’ match between APIA Leichhardt and Sydney Olympic takes centre stage this Sunday at 1pm to spearhead the 2023 ‘Festival of Football’ event at Lambert Park.
In what’s always been a keenly contested match in its past two seasons, the third edition of this special legends match has pitted 40 Club Legends set to wind back the clock in giving it their all for their respective teams.
APIA Leichhardt will be coached by Bill Rorke as the likes of Ernie Campbell, Marshall Soper, Jean Paul de Marigny, Milan Blagojevic, Pedro Ricoy, Jim Bottalico, Vince Colagiuri, John Buonavoglia, Nick Rizzo, Mark Byrnes and Robbie Younis to name a few will be pulling on the famous maroon kit once more.
While for Sydney Olympic, Peter Katholos will don the head coaching responsibilities as well as puling the boots on and will be accompanied by former Blues legends, Pablo Cardozo, Eric Hristodoulou, Terry Patalis, Robbie Hooker, Zlatko Nastevski and Paul Henderson which are just some of the household names set to light up Lambert Park.
