NWS Spirit secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Bulls Academy in Round 16 of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition on Saturday afternoon at Sydney United Sports Centre.

The visitors got on the board in the sixth minute with the first real chance of the game through a Richard Darko header.

Just minutes after going behind, the Bulls answered back with a well taken goal from Eddie Caspers, who picked out the top corner from long range.

After being held to a deadlock for nearly 80 minutes, Spirit finally got back into the lead through substitute Mitchell Davidson who neatly slotted the ball into the bottom corner.

Spirit held on for the win but were forced to work hard for it by a Bulls side that could’ve very nearly levelled the game in the second half.

APIA 3 v Wollongong Wolves 0 at Lambert Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

APIA Leichhardt have defeated Wollongong Wolves 3-0 to remain at Lambert Park to remain on top of the ladder for another week.

The home side opened the scoring in the 25th minute, as Diego Celis calmly dispatched a penalty won by Jack Armson into the right of the net.

An Armson double late on secured the three points for APIA, who kept their seventh clean sheet of the campaign in the process.

Sutherland Sharks 1 v Sydney Olympic 0 at Seymour Shaw – Full Match Report and Highlights

Sutherland Sharks thanks to a screamer of a goal from young debutant Oliver Randazzo at Seymour Shaw Park overcame a gallant Sydney Olympic in Round 15 of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition with a hard-fought 1-0 victory.

There wasn’t much splitting both sides but the majestic goal from the 16-year-old was indeed the difference and gave the Sutherland Sharks a valuable three points.

Marconi 2 v Sydney United 58 FC 1 at Marconi Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights

The Marconi Stallions took all the derby spoils following their 2-1 victory over arch-rivals Sydney United 58 at Marconi Stadium on Saturday evening.

Goals to Marconi’s Jordan Swibel and Domenic Costanzo cancelled out one from United 58 substitute & National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s stalwart Glen Trifiro, to give the hosts a valuable three points as they passed the halfway mark of their 2023 campaign.

Sydney FC bounced back in style with a gritty 2-1 win over Mt Druitt Town Rangers on a crisp Saturday night at Popondetta Park.

The hosts, coming off some recent good form, had the perfect start. Jacob Esposito scored the opener in the 36th minute before a pair of second half goals thanks to Luka Smyth and substitute Louis Agosti completed the turnaround for the Sky Blues as they celebrated a come from behind victory.

WSW 1 v Central Coast Mariners 2 at Wanderers Football Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

The Central Coast Mariners have extended their unbeaten streak to six games in a row with a 2-1 victory against the Western Sydney Wanderers at Wanderers Park.

The in-form Mariners couldn’t have gotten off to a more perfect start. Aiming to extend their unbeaten streak to six in a row, they struck within the opening two minutes.

Closing in on their fourth win in a row, the Wanderers came back in the 90th minute through Aidan Simmons, but they left their comeback too late as they game finished 2-1.

Manly United 0 v Blacktown City 2 at Cromer Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Blacktown City earned an important 2-0 win against Manly United on Saturday night at Cromer Park to push the side back into the challenging places for the Premiership title.

Lachlan Campbell and Charles Mendy scored within six minutes of each other in a strong showing from Mark Crittenden’s team in the first half.

The 2022 Premiers rested on their advantage in the second half to secure the three points.

Rockdale Ilinden 2 v St George City 2 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

Honours were even in the local derby as Rockdale Ilinden and St George City played out a 2-2 draw at the Ilinden Sports Centre on a windy Sunday afternoon.

The hosts took a two-goal lead through Lochie Constable and Bai Antoniou before Kosta Petratos halved the deficit before the break from the spot before Nathan Roberts notched up the equaliser moments later.
