NWS Spirit FC look towards strong 2024 campaign
It was a baptism of fire in 2023 for National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW outfit NWS Spirit FC as coach David Perkovic rallied his troops to an eleventh placed finish.
Following on from a number of key learnings in NSW’s top tier Men’s competition, NWS Spirit FC are hoping to ruffle a few feathers as they prepare for a huge 2024 season.
Perkovic has kept the majority of his 2023 squad including keeper Christopher Marques, Anthony Younis, Kyle Shaw, Corey Kavanagh, Richie Darko, Michael Konestabo, Ollie Wiggin, Simon Nicholas, Luiz Lobo and Jarod Lum to name a few.
Christie Park will see the emergence of a couple of fresh new faces in ace marksman Gianni Bouzoukis, Bradley Whitworth, Titus Macharia, Brayden Burr, Ante Bakmaz and keeper Jack Greenwood.
It will also be a welcome return to the club and the league for long serving club captain Grant Cornwell after the defender sat out the entire 2023 season following an unfortunate knee injury.
The club’s opening match will see them host Sydney FC on Saturday 17th of February at Christie Park.
