NWS Spirit FC 1 v Sydney United 58 1 at Christie Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

NWS Spirit FC played out a hard fought 1-1 draw against Sydney United 58 in Round 4 of the National Premier League Men’s NSW fixture at Christie Park on Tuesday evening.

Needing a response after last weekend’s hefty defeat, Sydney United 58 came out to prove a point in the early stages and got their reward with a well taken goal from their Japanese import Shunta Nakamura.

The boys from Edensor Park thought they’d done enough to take home the three points but a goalkeeping error forced the ball to Corey Kavanagh who rescued a point for the hosts in the dying stages of the match.

Manly United 1 v Blacktown City 1 at Cromer Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Manly United and Blacktown City were forced to settle for a point each as they drew 1-1 on Wednesday night at Cromer Park.

After an intense first half with plenty of opportunities falling both ways, the teams went into the sheds level.

The stalemate looked to have been broken with six minutes to play when Harry McCarthy dispatched a penalty for Manly. However, Blacktown fought back for a point through substitute Reuben Awaritefe in stoppage time.

Sydney Olympic 1 v Marconi Stallions 2 at Belmore Sports Ground – Full Match Report and Highlights

Marconi Stallions FC have secured an important victory over Sydney Olympic, prevailing 2-1 in a fiery match at Belmore Sports Ground.

Marconi opened the scoring against the run of play in the 19th minute, with Franco Maya delicately chipping the ball over the head of Noah James and finishing into an empty net.

Sydney Olympic responded with a beautiful, curling effort from Michael Vakis on the edge of the box, but it was Marconi, through Marko Jesic, who would take home the three points, with the club captain curling a spectacular shot off a freekick into the top-right corner – a goal worthy of winning any game.

Rockdale Ilinden 4 v St George FC 0 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

Rockdale Ilinden were forced to bide their time against a resilient St George FC but romped home to a thrilling 4-0 victory in round 4 of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition in front of over 900 spectators at the Ilinden Sports Centre on Wednesday evening.

Goals from Alec Urosevski, Brendan Cholakian, a super strike via Giorgio Sperenza and Jason Cakovski capped off a memorable night at Ilinden Sports Centre, pushing Rockdale up the ladder as one of the team’s to beat.

Sutherland Sharks 0 v Wollongong Wolves 4 at Seymour Shaw – Full Match Report and Highlights

It was one way traffic as the Wollongong Wolves registered a resounding 4-0 victory over the Sutherland Sharks in round 4 of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition on Wednesday evening at Seymour Shaw.

The Wolves led by two going into the break after a quality Sebastian Hernandez brace in the 12th and 46th minute in a tight half. Substitute Takumi Ofuka made an instant impact off to the bench to make it 3-0 then he added a fourth late in the piece.

Hills United FC 4 v Sydney FC 2 at Landen Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights

Hills United secured its second win of the 2024 National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW season with an entertaining 4-2 victory over Sydney FC at the Landen Stadium on Wednesday night.

The hosts came into this tie on the back of a stunning 5-3 defeat at the hands of the Central Coast Mariners, whilst Sydney FC was looking to right the wrongs of last week’s defeat to St George FC.

After being on the back foot for some portions of the first, Hill stunned their opponents with three goals within five minutes to take a resounding 3-0 lead of the contest.

Goals from Caleb Jackson-Brown, Cam Philp and Thomas Lopes helped Hills go out to the unassailable lead as the visitors were left stunned.

Nathan Amantidis fired one back for the Sky Blues but Anthony Frangie’s late strike quickly cancelled that out.

Mitch Glasson showed his potential with a spectacular finish in the dying moments of the game to bring the score to 4-2.

St George City 1 v APIA Leichhardt 0 at Penshurst Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

St George City brought 2023 Premiers APIA Leichhardt FC back down to earth following a 1-0 victory in round 4 of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition at Penshurst Park on Wednesday evening.

The only goal of the game came courtesy of a set-piece goal from former APIA player Dominic Cox which was all that separated both teams in the end.
