Sutherland Sharks 2 v Hills United 1 at Seymour Shaw – Full Match Report and Highlights
Sutherland Sharks recorded an important 2-1 victory over Hills United at Seymour Shaw Park on Saturday ending its three-match losing streak in round 9 of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition.
The hosts fell behind in the fifth minute when Noah Casserly pounced from a Sharks defensive error to thump home a header and his first for Hills this year.
Sutherland then equalized through Mason Fernandez and should have been ahead before the break when Levi Sciuriaga did everything but score sending an effort wide of the upright.
Substitute Liam Rippon however netted the eventual winner with his first kick of the game late on.

St George FC claimed their first National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW away victory of the season prevailing 3-1 over NWS Spirit at Christie Park on Saturday evening.
Taking the lead early through a Nikola Skataric penalty, the Saints had a Peter Grozos second half brace to thank for the victory after Spirit found an equaliser earlier in the second via Ollie Wiggin.
St George City 2 v Marconi 1 at Penshurst Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
St George City edged past Marconi Stallions 2-1 at Penshurst Park on Saturday night to the visitors three-match unbeaten streak in round 9 of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition.
The hosts, fresh from a weekend off, could have taken the lead early through a likely source in Jason Romero via the spot in the 20th minute but his effort was expertly saved by James Hilton.
There was then a first-half goal-glut as St George went in front after 33 minutes through Louis Khoury.
Marko Jesic then equalised for the visitors four minutes later before Romero found the net three minutes after that.
St George held in the second period to secure an impressive win against Marconi.
Central Coast Mariners 0 v Sydney Olympic 2 at Valentine Sports Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
A professional performance from Sydney Olympic FC has seen them continue their hot form with a 2-0 victory over Central Coast Mariners at Valentine Sports Park on Sunday afternoon, their third on the trot.
Two goals in the first half to Olympic, one an own goal from Cher Deng and the other from Roy O’Donovan, were the difference in this round nine National Premier League Men’s NSW fixture, with the listed away side dominating their younger opponents across all areas of the match in front of their home fans.
Sydney United 58 1 v Rockdale Ilinden 2 at Sydney United Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights
Rockdale Ilinden struck late pain on Sydney United 58 thanks to a 92nd minute winner via Hunter Elliot as they recorded a memorable 2-1 victory at the Sydney United Sports Centre on Sunday.
Former United 58 player Alec Urosevski scored in the first half with a well taken goal before Shunta Nakamura equalised via a howler from Ilinden keeper Harrison Devenish-Meares.
The game looked destined for a draw before Elliot slid in thanks to a brilliant run and cross by Giorgio Speranza and that was all she wrote.
Blacktown City 8 v Sydney FC 0 at Landen Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights
Blacktown City have defeated Sydney FC eight goals to nil with a scintillating performance at Landen Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The home side opened the scoring in the 19th minute thanks to a Travis Major penalty, before doubling their lead ten minutes later thanks to a tap in from Jak O’Brien.
They netted twice more in the first half, with Joey Gibbs scoring courtesy of an assist from goalkeeper Tristan Prendergast, before Martin Fernandez made it four with a classy finish in a one on one.
Gibbs secured a brace early into the second half, before Fernandez secured his second with another well taken finish.
To conclude, substitute Mitchell Mallia netted two goals which featured excellent dribbles to secure an 8-0 win for Blacktown.
Wollongong Wolves 1 v APIA Leichhardt 2 at WIN Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights
APIA Leichhardt came from a goal down to defeat Wollongong Wolves 2-1 at WIN Stadium on Sunday afternoon to inflict more pain to the hosts who let their guard down for the second successive week.
Following on from a crazy 4-3 loss to Sydney Olympic FC last weekend, Wollongong went into the sheds 1-0 up courtesy of Christopher McStay after an excellent first-half showing.
However, APIA clawed their way back into the match late in the second period with Jack Armson and Sean Symons scoring within four minutes of each other.
Manly United 0 v Western Sydney Wanderers 5 at Cromer Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
A classy 5-0 victory from Western Sydney Wanderers FC over Manly United FC at Cromer Park has seen them go four-points clear at the summit of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition in their Round 9 clash.
Both teams had their fair share of chances but ultimately Zac Sapsford, Marcus Younis and Aydan Hammond propelled the visitors to victory. Sapsford in particular continuing his fine goal scoring run with his sixth of the season. Adam Bugarija also got his name on the scoresheet late with two goals of his own.
