St George City responded to last weekend’s Western Sydney Wanderers humbling with a gritty 2-0 win over Central Coast Mariners at Penshurst Park on Saturday evening.

Sydney United 58 managed a sensational comeback to take three points from a hard-fought local derby 3-2 victory against the Marconi Stallions at Sydney United Sports Centre on Sunday afternoon.

The physical battle saw the Stallions open scoring in the 28th minute through James Temelkovski then follow up with another in the 44th minute through Cameron Windust.

Sydney United 58 took hold of the second half with goals from Aidan Milicevic and Patrick Antelmi to equalise, because securing the lead through a wonder strike by Carlos de Oliveira in the 92nd minute that sent the home fans into raptures.

Wollongong Wolves 3 v Sydney FC 2 at WIN Stadium – Match Report and Highlights

Wollongong Wolves survived a late scare to win 3-2 over Sydney FC on Sunday afternoon at WIN Stadium.

Wollongong went into halftime with a two-goal lead courtesy of Takumi Ofuka and Christopher McStay.

Western Sydney Wanderers 3 v Blacktown City 0 at Wanderers Football Park – Match Report and Highlights

The Western Sydney Wanderers have notched up their 10th win of the season in an emphatic manner with a 3-0 win over competition heavyweights Blacktown City on Sunday afternoon at Wanderers Football Park to extend their run as real Premiership contenders.

A first half blitz from the Wanderers was enough to seal the result with a sensational solo goal from Aydan Hammond, in combination with a double from Nathanael Blair enough for a three-goal lead heading into the break.

The second half saw both sides reduced to ten men which blew the game wide open and left the fans with an entertaining final sector of play.

APIA Leichhardt FC 3 v Rockdale Ilinden 2 at Leichhardt Oval – Match Report and Highlights

APIA Leichhardt secured an important 3-2 win over rivals Rockdale Illinden in a nail-biting affair at Lambert Park.

APIA opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a clinical counter-attack which saw Jack Stewart playing the ball to Ben Gibson, who finished with aplomb.

The home side doubled their lead with the two combining once more – this time Gibson setting up Stewart with a clever layoff, allowing the winger to power a shot into the net.

Rockdale pulled one back thanks to a stunning strike from Lochlan Constable, but it was cancelled out by a Rory Jordan finish just 45 seconds into the second half.

Rockdale clawed a goal back through Alec Urosevski, but APIA kept a firm grip on the three points after an intense final fifteen minutes to move to fourth on the ladder.
