It was to be Marconi Stallions’ day as they secured the 2024 NPL Men’s NSW Championship with a 3-0 victory over Rockdale Ilinden at CommBank Stadium,

Nick Sorras – Rarely worked after a nervous start. Left exposed for Marconi’s opening goal – 6
Daniel Collins – Put in a good shift, hardly put a foot wrong – 6
Giorgio Speranza – A tough day at the office before being substituted after an hour – 6
Isaac Danzo – Always busy, reliable in defence plus searching balls forward – 8
Alec Ursoevski – Bustling, busy, threatening but often left solo in attack when leading the line – 7
Dean Pelekanos – Subbed on the hour but involved in many of Ilinden’s better moments – 6
Brendan Cholakian – Pushing, teasing through balls plus dogged in defence – 7.5
Lachie Constable – Tried hard and did well early on but muscled out in a testy match – 6
Brayden Sorge – Mr Dynamo, gave it all for the cause as always until replaced by Hunter Elliott midway through the second-half – 6
Blake Ricciuto – Solid, energetic and always up for getting forward in a physical game – 7.5
So Kataoka – Another constant threat on the left but blunted when switched to central midfield – 7

Lachie Griffiths – Another 60’ min substitute looking to push on down the left – 5
Bai Antoniou – Came on with 30’ remaining to attempt turning things around and provide another outlet for Rockdale – 5
Olayinka Sunmola – Came on for Lochlan Constable after 74’, not enough time to contribute greatly – 5
Brae Ovens – Replaced Daniel Collins in the 82’ but not enough time to make a difference. N/A
Hunter Elliott – Joined Sunmola on the pitch when replacing the Dynamo that is Brayden Sorge. Another without too much time to shine – 5

James Hilton – Very little to do throughout yet always alert and on his toes – 6.5
Nathan Millgate – Solid final appearance, hands on throughout – 7.5
Anton Mlinaric – Spent a lot of time on the deck after heavy challenges but rode the storm well – 8
James Bayliss – Solid in a no nonsense performance – 6.5
Domenic Costanzo – Worked hard, tried hard, tackled hard – 7
Franco Maya – Strong performance and set up the winning goal – 8
Daniel Bourman – Dogged, determined and, at times, ruthless – 7
James Temelkovski – Scored the first and played a major part in the second for Jesic was duly awarded player of the match – 9
Marko Jesic – uncompromising from the first whistle, on hand to snap up the second Marconi goal – 8:5
George Daniel – Quietly commanding, tough and often unsung in a terrific team showing – 7
Brandon Vella – Classy performance from a classy player and nullified Urosevski often – 7
