Systems go as NPL NSW Men’s and Football NSW Leagues Men’s Launches for 2025

The official 2025 season launch for the National Premier Leagues NSW Mens and Football NSW Leagues Men’s competitions took place today as players, administrators, and media all welcomed in the new year at Valentine Sports Park.

A total of 47 players from the three senior men’s competitions came together and were announced to the media with the help of Master of Ceremonies and Football NSW commentator Adamo De Nigris.

“Following record community football registrations in 2024, demand to play our game continues to grow,” said Football NSW Chairman Gilbert Lorquet.

“Our competitions provide an important role in inspiring our youth and illustrating a pathway for talented players across the state to aim towards.

“These leagues continue to nurture some of the most exciting talent in the country and we are proud to have seen more players take the next step to the A-Leagues and other domestic competitions around the world.”

The Member for Blacktown, Stephen Bali, was also in attendance, speaking highly of Football NSW’s Clubs and Competitions, while wishing participants well for the season ahead.

A number of the NPL Men’s NSW’s prominent players including Blacktown City FC’s Travis Major, Marconi Stallions’ Marko Jesic, Wollongong Wolves’ Lachlan Scott, Rockdale Ilinden’s new signing Moudi Najjar and Sutherland Sharks latest recruit Danijel Nizic were just some of the players on display promoting the 2025 season.

One of the legends of the NPL Men’s NSW competition, former Sydney United 58 midfield maestro and captain Glen Trifiro was also in attendance and spoke highly of how important the NPL NSW Men’s competition was to his illustrious career which saw him pick up two NPL NSW premierships, a championship and two Waratah Cups.

It’s set to be a busy year on the broadcast front with Football NSW’s competition live streaming once again on YouTube in 2025, with every NPL Men’s match set to be shown live, free and on demand.

Weekly Match of the Rounds for Football NSW League One Men’s will continue to be broadcast in 2025, in addition to the NPL NSW Championship series and men’s promotion / relegation play-offs, all of which will feature expert commentary.
