Van der Saag returns to boost Manly’s 2025 stocks

On the cusp of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW season, Manly United secured one of the competition’s key signings in former Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar ace Harry Van der Saag for the upcoming season.

Returning home after spending several seasons playing in the A-League, Van der Saag has added an extra boost to coach Patrick Zwaanswijk’s squad ahead of the club’s opening round 1 clash against the Central Coast Mariners this Friday evening at Cromer Park.

Elsewhere on the recruitment front, Manly United secured the services of Aaron O’Driscoll as well as Taiga Kawano, former Wanderers youth products Matthew O’Donoghue, Farah Koko and Ryan Devine along with former Sydney Olympic midfielder Darcy Burgess.

A number of its 2024 players have returned to the fold with keeper Levi Kaye, Jesse Piriz, Thomas Fay, Bilal Belkadi, Peter Kekeris, Benjamin Koop, Harry McCarthy and Alen Aganovic calling Manly home once more.
