Manly United opened its 2025 National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW season in style thanks to a 5-0 thrashing of a bewildered Central Coast Mariners outfit at Cromer Park in front of a packed Cromer Park.

Capped by a double to new signing Lucas Meek the hosts dominated in the simply scintillating affair as Taiga Kawano, Aaron O’Driscoll and Farah Koko also joined in on the scoring spree.

Western Sydney Wanderers 1 v Mt Druitt Town Rangers 1 at Wanderers Football Park – Match Report and Highlights

The Western Sydney Wanderers FC and Mt Druitt Town Rangers FC shared the points in a pulsating 1-1 draw at Wanderers Football Park on Saturday afternoon.

Meliwethu Nkomo opened the scoring for Wanderers in the 41st minute before Rangers new recruit Joey Gibbs earned the visitors a draw with his 52nd minute goal.

A spirited comeback from Sydney United 58 helped them earn a 2-2 draw with Sutherland Sharks FC in their 2025 National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW season opener at the Sydney United Sports Centre.

The hosts struck twice in the last ten minutes, the equaliser a screamer from Mason Wells to ensure a point, adding further disappointment for the Sharks who come out of the game with injury concerns, particularly for Kosta Petratos whom coach Steve Zoric fears may have torn his ACL.

Sydney Olympic 2 v St George FC 1 at Belmore Sports Ground – Match Report and Highlights

Sydney Olympic kicked off the new season of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW with a narrow 2-1 opening round win over St George FC.

After both sides scored early in the first half, the even contest was sliced open by a beautiful Adam Parkhouse volley in the second half that in the end proved to be the decisive goal in a gala-day like atmosphere at Belmore Sports Ground with the presence of numerous junior Sydney Olympic sides cheering on their first grade heroes.

NWS Spirit FC 3 v Sydney FC 2 at Christie Park – Match Report and Highlights

NWS Spirit FC took out a see-sawing opening round thriller over Sydney FC by a 3-2 margin at Christie Park.

A late Yu Okubo goal secured the three points for the hosts after a dominant second half display, the striker joined by Takumi Ofuka and Michael Konestabo on the scoresheet while Alen Harbas and Mathias Macallister notched for the Sky Blues.

APIA Leichhardt FC 3 v Wollongong Wolves 3 at Lambert Park – Match Report and Highlights

A six-goal thriller saw the points shared at Lambert Park as a gutsy Wollongong Wolves clawed back a 3-1 deficit to draw 3-3 with APIA Leichhardt to open their 2025 seasons.

The hosts scored first via Jack Stewart from the spot before Lachlan Scott returned serve with a successful spot kick of his own soon after.

Jordan Segreto banged home a free-kick midway through the second before Dredon Kelly scored from close range that looked to see the hosts through.

It wasn’t to be as the Wolves fought hard as goals from Sebastian Hernandez and Nicholas Olsen from the spot secured a precious point for new coach Warren Grieve and his troops.

Rockdale Ilinden 2 v St George City 2 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Match Report and Highlights

It was a tough start for reigning National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW Premiers Rockdale Ilinden who etched out a hard-fought 2-2 draw against local rivals St George City at the Ilinden Sports Centre on Saturday.

It didn’t take long for the blue touch paper to be lit as the home side looked to make a statement opening to their campaign, but it was Marc McNulty who slotted home the first goal of the evening from the spot after earning a penalty at the expense of the hapless Blake Ricciuto with 31 minutes on the clock.

Another counter-attack in the second-half, after Ilinden almost levelled at the other end, saw Caio De Godoy double the visitors lead in a masterful display of solid defending and counter-attacking football.

Rockdale mounted a spirited comeback in the second-half with goals to talisman Alec Urosevski and a late James Nikolovski equaliser to rescue the points for the hosts.

Marconi 1 v Blacktown City 1 at Marconi Stadium – Match Report and Highlights

The reigning National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW Champions Marconi Stallions shared the points with Blacktown City with a 1-1 draw in the opening round of the competition on Saturday night.

The red card to Jarred McKinley in the 80th minute gave confidence to the Stallions fans who had watched their side lead the game for the majority of the match after a third minute goal from captain Marko Jesic, however a late goal from Jakob Cresnar put a dampener on a dreary night for the Marconi faithful.
