Let’s check out the mini reviews from Round 10 of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition.

Sydney FC 1 v Central Coast Mariners 0 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

Central Coast Mariners did their utmost to secure a point albeit with nine-men but could not hold on as they went down 1-0 to Sydney FC in round 10 of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition played at the Ilinden Sports Centre on Friday evening.

It was an assured finish from substitute Mathias Macallister in the 74th minute which gave the Sky Blues the 1-0 win after Central Coast Mariners were reduced to nine men after Laurence Taylor and Shumba Motukoyi saw red either side of the break. The Mariners almost snatched it late from an Arthur De Lima effort.

NWS Spirit FC 1 v Marconi 2 at Christie Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Marconi Stallions inflicted the NWS Spirit FC’s first loss of the 2025 season and took over as National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW league leaders with a 2-1 victory at Christie Park on Saturday.

All three goals came in quick fashion in the first half as Marconi took a two-goal lead through two well executed set pieces one from Domenic Costanzo the other, a header from Lachlan Griffiths before Yu Okubo brought Spirit back into it minutes later.

It was the Stallions who battled the harder of the two as they ran out 2-1 victors and took pole position on the current league ladder after ten rounds

APIA Leichhardt FC 5 v Mt Druitt Town Rangers 0 at Lambert Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

APIA Leichhardt FC flexed its muscles at Lambert Park on Saturday evening as they put in a stunning display to smash the Mount Druitt Town Rangers 5-0.

It was a clinical performance, and the scoreboard certainly told no lies as the gap between both sides on the night was indeed a chasm.

After going into the break with a narrow 1-0 lead thanks to a Seya Kambayashi goal, APIA pulled away in the second half with a brace from Jordan Segreto and goals to Jack Stewart and Alex Denmead.

The APIA Leichhardt performance made up for last week’s loss to rivals Sydney United 58 and was the response that coach Franco Parisi was certainly wanting from his side.

Western Sydney Wanderers 2 v Manly United 0 at Wanderers Football Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

The Western Sydney Wanderers secured a valuable three points with a 2-0 defeat of Manly United FC at Wanderers Football Park on Saturday afternoon.

The 16th-placed Wanderers weren’t expected to be the favourites in the match, coming up against third-placed Manly United, however they confidently broke ahead before the half-time break through Julian Cop and put a nail in the coffin in the 84th minute through Aidan Simmons.

The victory is the Wanderers second of 2025 and sees them jump off the bottom of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s ladder.

St George City 1 v Sydney Olympic 1 at Penshurst Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

A late Teng Kuol equaliser helped Olympic secure a 1-1 draw with St George City at Penshurst Park.

City snuck in front due to a lucky cross from Fumoto Kamada that found its way into the goal, though Kuol’s reply in the 90th minute ensured the Blues of a well-earned point.

Sydney United 58 1 v Rockdale Ilinden 2 at Sydney United Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

Rockdale Ilinden secured three valuable points in a thrilling 3-1 victory over Sydney United 58 at the Sydney United Sports Centre on Sunday in what was a late rally that spurred the 2024 Premiers onto victory.

The hosts made a magic start as United 58’s young gun Michael Pratezina  set off on a solo run through the middle of the park before drifting left and hitting a shot from 20-yards that bobbled in front of Ilinden’s ‘keeper, Nick Sorras and rippled the back of the net to put United 58 ahead in just the third minute.

Ali Auglah registered his first goal for his new club as he hit an equaliser midway through the second half and it was game on.

The match look destined for a drive but Blake Ricciuto had other ideas banging in a great header off a corner in the 90th minute to put the visitors in front before Auglah notched up his second in the 94th minute that gave Rockdale a morale boosting win.

Wollongong Wolves 4 v Sutherland Sharks 0 at Macedonia Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Wollongong Wolves demonstrated sheer grit and determination as they earned a comprehensive 4-0 win over hapless Sutherland Sharks outfit at Macedonia Park on Sunday despite playing with 10 players for most of the second half.

After a tedious first half, Lachlan Scott opened the scoring for the hosts soon after the break before the side were reduced to 10 players as Raphael Le’ai was sent off.

The Wolves were not deterred by going down a player and grabbed their second goal in the 82nd minute through a Nicholas Olsen penalty.

Scott grabbed his second six minutes later before Alex Masciovecchio scored deep into injury time to round out a special afternoon of football for Wollongong and a result that embarrassed the Shire squad.

Blacktown City 3 v St George FC 2 at Landen Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights

A Jak O’Brien double and a strong fightback led to an impressive 3-2 comeback win for Blacktown City over St George FC at home at Landen Park.

St George took a 2-1 lead in the first half with goals to Justin Boon and Jaden Casella, while Jak O’Brien brought one back for Blacktown.

But it was Blacktown who came into the second half firing, with O’Brien scoring a second and Mitch Mallia adding his own goal to seal the win 3-2.
