Sydney FC 3 v St George City 1 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Match Report and Highlights
Sydney FC have responded to two defeats in a row with a 3-1 win over St George City at Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre on a chilly Friday evening.
Mathias Macallister opened the scoring for Sydney just before halftime with a beautiful Panenka, before playing the main role in the second goal in first-half stoppage time, which led to an unfortunate own goal off Solomon-Johnn Monahan-Vaiika.
St George responded in the second half with a neat finish from Marc McNulty, but a sensational solo goal from Marin France in the 86th minute secured an impressive three points for the Sky Blues.
Sutherland Sharks 3 v Western Sydney Wanderers 1 at Seymour Shaw – Match Report and Highlights
The Sutherland Sharks recorded a 3-1 victory over the Western Sydney Wanderers in a huge win in their fight to starve off relegation at Seymour Shaw on Saturday.
Maki Petratos was in the mood scoring a brace before Awan Lual pulled a goal back at the start of the second half that gave the Wanderers a glimmer of hope.
Those hopes were extinguished midway through the second stanza as Tye McGowan capped off a busy afternoon when adding Sutherland’s third to put the result beyond doubt.
Mt Druitt Town Rangers 0 v St George FC 2 at Popondetta Park – Match Report and Highlights
St George FC secured a 2-0 victory over the Mt Druitt Town Rangers at Popondetta Park on Saturday evening.
The visitors maintained consistent attacking pressure throughout the match with a goal from Jaden Casella opening the scoring in the 53rd minute.
Despite plenty of opportunities, the next goal didn’t come until the 84th minute, with Sunday Yona putting the nail in the coffin in the late stages of the game.
NWS Spirit FC 1 v APIA Leichhardt FC 0 at Christie Park – Match Report and Highlights
A late winner from Jamie Percevski has given NWS Spirit FC a 1-0 win over a ten-man APIA Leichhardt FC in a thrilling Saturday evening game at Christie Park.
The match turned on its head in the 52nd minute Dredon Kelly was sent off following a foul in the box on Michael Konestabo. Takumi Ofuka stepped up but saw his spot kick saved by Oliver Kalac.
From there on it was an epic battle as both teams went at it in wanting to secure the three points but it was Percevski who had the last say with a quality header with the last play of the match that gave the hosts the three precious points.
Wollongong Wolves 0 v Sydney Olympic 2 at WIN Stadium – Match Report and Highlights
Two second-half goals secured Sydney Olympic FC a well-earned 2-0 win over a hapless Wollongong Wolves on Saturday night at WIN Stadium.
Olympic failed to capitalise on a series of chances in the first half as they went into halftime level with Wollongong.
Cyrus Dehmie provided the necessary clinical touch soon after the break before Dylan Ruiz-Diaz doubled the advantage just after the hour mark which all but secured the Blues the three precious points.
Sydney United 58 1 v Manly United 0 at Sydney United Sports Centre – Match Report and Highlights
A controlled performance from Sydney United 58 helped them seal a confident 1-0 win over Manly as they continue to press their case as one of the finals-bound clubs
The hosts played out a much stronger game than the scoreline suggested with a first half goal from Mason Wells enough to secure their fourth league win on the bounce.
Blacktown City 1 v Central Coast Mariners 0 at Landen Stadium – Match Report and Highlights
Blacktown City FC are back to winning ways after a 1-0 win over the Central Coast Mariners FC at a chilly and windy Landen Stadium on Sunday.
It was a back and forth first half with both sides finding their rhythm in the tough conditions, but it was Blacktown City who got on the board with a late Mitch Mallia goal.
The second half was dominated by Blacktown City in possession with a few good Central Coast Mariners chances, but the game was to finish 1-0.
Marconi 0 v Rockdale Ilinden 1 at Marconi Stadium – Match Report and Highlights
Rockdale Ilinden have set the cat amongst the pigeons as their 1-0 victory over staunch rivals the Marconi Stallions at Marconi Stadium on Sunday has reignited the race for the 2025 NPL Men’s NSW Premiership.
Rockdale are in the joint-best form in the competition and despite playing for over half an hour a player down, after Hunter Elliott received his second yellow card, they delivered Marconi their second defeat of the season thanks to 12th minute goal via Brendan Cholakian to ensure the hunt for the Premiership race was on.
