Sydney United 58 secured a convincing 3-0 victory over the Western Sydney Wanderers at Wanderers Football Park on Saturday afternoon.

After a goalless first half, United 58 upped the ante in the second stanza with an opening goal to Mason Wells in the 43rd minute.

Carlos De Olivera secured the second of the afternoon in the 52nd minute to extend the visitors’ lead and Leroy Jennings finished the job with a third in the 78th minute.

The result gives United 58 a valuable three points to keep them well in contention for finals football, while Wanderers stay near the bottom of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s ladder.

St George City 3 v NWS Spirit FC 2 at Penshurst Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

St George City had a remarkable come from behind 3-2 win over NWS Spirit FC in a classic game of two halves on a chilly Saturday evening at Penshurst Park.

St George City’s second half was definitely one of their finest with three goals after trailing at the break by two.

Michael Konestabo and Takumi Ofuka got the visitors off to a flyer with two clinical goals in the first half as David Perkovic’s men raced to a 2-0 lead at the break.

City held their nerve and clawed its way back into the contest following a spot kick from Marc McNulty in the 75th minute before Solomon Monahan-Vaiika scored the equaliser with seven minutes remaining. Riding the wave of momentum Manny Spanoudakis’ troops then grabbed a valuable winner via Louis Khoury with a terrific strike that broke Spirit hearts as the final whistle blew soon after.

St George FC 2 v Marconi 2 at Barton Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

St George FC have stunned the Marconi Stallions bringing them to a 2-2 draw in the final minute of an extremely tense, lightning fuelled clash at Barton Park.

Marconi Stallions scored just seven minutes in courtesy of Marko Jesic, but Aedan O’Shea equalised for St George FC 15 minutes later.

Jesic once again opened the second half with a goal, but Chan Yelchan broke Marconi Stallions’ hearts with a goal in the final kick of the game to rescue a point for the hosts.

Central Coast Mariners 0 v Wollongong Wolves 2 at Pluim Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Wollongong Wolves produced a clinical 2-0 win over Central Coast Mariners in a scrappy battle at Pluim Park on Sunday afternoon.

Wollongong made good use of their pressing throughout the match, and it proved the catalyst for their victory.

Raphael Le’ai opened the scoring for the Wolves midway through the first half before Marcus Beattie added a second soon after halftime that all but secured the points for the visitors.

Manly United 0 v Sydney FC 6 at Cromer Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Sydney FC thrashed Manly United 6-0 at Cromer Park in a mesmerising performance with one player stealing the headlines, local boy Mathias Macallister who scored five goals lighting up the Northern Beaches on a rainy Sunday evening.

It was a match to remember for Sydney FC’s young gun who really took the game on his own along with his teammates as Manly United had no answers to a rampaging Sky Blues outfit that ran riot.

The Football NSW Competitions Department has confirmed the final results of the following fixtures:

Sydney Olympic 2 v Sutherland Sharks 1 at Belmore Sports Ground – Full Match Report

Bad weather proved the biggest winner in the clash between Sydney Olympic and Sutherland Sharks, ending the game prematurely in the 73rd minute.

Olympic were leading at the time with goals from Jack Armson and Cyrus Dehmie cancelling out Makis Petratos’ early goal, though lightning led to the game being suspended before eventually being called off entirely.

The final result sees Sydney Olympic extend their unbeaten run to four matches.

Rockdale Ilinden 4 v Mt Druitt Town Rangers 0 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report

Mother nature played its role in Rockdale Ilinden’s match against the Mt Druitt Town Rangers following the match being abandoned in the 76th minute at the Ilinden Sports Centre due to lightning on Sunday.

The hosts were cruising with a 4-0 cushion, but referee Eric Saba put a stop to the match with less than twenty minutes to go following some severe lightning strikes around the Rockdale area.

Rockdale had Matthew Keremelevski, Chris McStay, Moudi Najjar and Michael Marcevski get on the scoresheet, with the final result sending the team to the top of the table after Marconi’s draw with St George FC.

APIA Leichhardt FC 1 v 0 Blacktown City at Lambert Park – Full Match Report

APIA Leichhardt held a 1-0 lead over Blacktown City at Lambert Park before the game was ended in the 89th minute due to lightning.

The home side had an abundance of chances throughout the match, but it was a 6th minute corner that gave them their goal, with a save off a Dredon Kelly header falling into the path of Michael Kouta, who calmly dispatched.

APIA returns to the winners’ circle after their late heartbreak against NWS Spirit last week, also moving three points clear of Blacktown City on the table.
