Sydney Olympic came out on top as they sealed a 2-0 win in a hard-fought clash with Sydney FC.
The Blues owed the win to goals from ace marksman Cyrus Dehmie and debutant Ryan Freutz, the latter of which scored a remarkable goal from distance in one of the goals of the season at the Ilinden Sports Centre on Friday.

Wollongong Wolves have fought back from a goal down to beat St George FC 2-1 on Saturday night at Macedonia Park.
Jaden Casella opened the scoring late in the first half before Alex Masciovecchio set the score level on the stroke of halftime.
In a tense second period Wolves keeper Daniel Solsky thwarted Saints skipper Troy Danaskos from the spot midway through the half as Nicholas Olsen proved the difference with a spectacular free-kick in the final 10 minutes, earning Wollongong a much-needed victory.
St George City 1 v Mt Druitt Town Rangers 1 at Penshurst Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
Mt Druitt Town Rangers secured a valuable point late into stoppage time that could go a long way in their fight against relegation following its 1-1 draw against St George City at Penshurst Park on Saturday.
City’s usual goalscoring star Marc McNulty put the hosts ahead midway through the second half but it was a Thomas Lopez strike late in the match that stole the headlines as the Rangers rescued a point away from home.
Blacktown City 1 v Rockdale Ilinden 3 at Landen Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights
Rockdale Ilinden edged past Blacktown City 3-1 in a tense encounter at Landen Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
A goal deep into first-half injury time from Alec Urosevski gave Rockdale the lead before Mitchell Mallia restored parity soon after the break.
Urosevski picked up his second goal later on in the second half, and Oliver Puflett came off the bench to add a layer of security for the visitors, scoring their third as Ilinden kept its hands on top spot alongside Marconi.

Relegation threatened Central Coast Mariners shared the points with the Sutherland Sharks in a tense 0-0 draw at Pluim Park on Sunday evening.
The match saw plenty of opportunities at both ends of the park but neither team was able to convert their chances to light up the scoreboard.
The single point will still be valuable to both teams as they look to climb their way away from the bottom end of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s ladder as the competition approaches the pointy end of the season.

Marconi Stallions saw off Waratah Cup Champions Sydney United 58 FC with a 2-0 win in one of the most prestigious derbies of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competitions thanks to goals from Marko Jesic in the first half and Jake Trew very late in the contest.
For Marconi this was now their second win in a row as they continue to pile pressure on rivals Rockdale Ilinden in top spot.
For Sydney United 58 though this match was coming off a mid-week Waratah Cup final triumph and there were signs throughout the game that it may have taken a toll on the players having to back up again a few days later.
