Bertolissio swaps NPL for A-League
Ambitious A-League side Newcastle Jets have recently secured the signing of one of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW rising young stars in APIA Leichhardt FC defender Joel Bertolissio.
The 22-year-old versatile defender who played an integral role in APIA Leichhardt FC’s good season so far has linked up with the Jets on their North Coast tour following a successful NPL Men’s NSW season.
Having played for the likes of Bulls FC Academy, Western Sydney Wanderers, Blacktown City and Bonnyrigg White Eagles, “Berto” will be fighting for a defensive spot in Mark Milligan’s squad as they prepare for their upcoming A-League season.
Bertolissio’s sister Tegan is also another star in the family. A defender as well, the 19-year-old who was part of Canberra United in the A-League women’s the past season was recently called up to the Matildas extended squad for their friendlies against South Korea.
