Round 30 Review – NPL Men’s NSW

Let’s check out the mini reviews from Round 30 of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition.
Sydney Olympic 0 v APIA 1 @ Belmore Sports Ground – Full Match Report and Highlights
APIA Leichhardt have secured second spot on the NPL Men’s NSW ladder with a comprehensive 1-0 victory over Sydney Olympic at Belmore Sports Ground.
It was an 18th-minute goal from Rory Jordan that secured victory for the away side, with the winger bundling the ball home from a Seiya Kambayashi corner.
APIA had chances to find more goals, but just needed the one, as they will now turn towards Sunday’s Semi-final, getting to skip the mid-week elimination finals with their top-two spot.
St George FC 1 v Manly United 2 @ Barton Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
The final round of the regular season in the NPL Men’s NSW arrived for the two sides battling it out at Barton Park where Manly United overcame St George FC 2-1 thanks to a brace from Farah Koko, while Aedan O’Shea got on the scoreboard for the home side.
It was an entertaining and tight contest between two sides that next year will definitely want to go one step better and play finals football.
In the end this match had little more than pride on the line but that didn’t stop both sides giving it their all and for new Manly United coach James Snedden it was a nice way to end the season after four consecutive matches without a win.
However, for the Saints under coach Fabian Miceli, it was a disappointing end to season 2025 with five consecutive games without a win after showing so much promise in the earlier parts of the season.
Sydney FC 2 v Rockdale Ilinden 2 @ Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights
It’s now eight matches since finals bound Rockdale Ilinden have tasted victory following a thrilling 2-2 draw in the season’s final league match against Sydney FC at the Ilinden Sports Centre on Sunday.
A much-changed line-up for linden saw the 2024 Premiers rest a number of its first team players ahead of its Elimination Final against Blacktown City.
It made little difference as Ilinden flew down the right flank through Oliver Pufflett whose well placed centre found its way to Chris McStay who needed no second invitation and thumped home to open the scoring in just the sixth minute.
The status quo was restored immediately when Marin France threatened down the left and fired home from an acute angle to level the scores.
Moudi Najjar profited to put Ilinden ahead once more before the break but a rasping long range effort from substitute Dylan Rose had FC back on level terms late into the match as the points were shared.
Marconi 3 v Sutherland Sharks 0 @ Marconi Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights
The Marconi Stallions finished the regular season in style, downing the Sutherland Sharks 3-0 in a statement victory ahead of the finals series.
Marconi owed the victory to a first half demolition which saw Aleksandar Duricic, Jordan Swibel and Matej Busek all score in a dominant display that puts them in fine form ahead of its Elimination Semi against rivals Sydney United 58 this Wednesday night.
St George City 0 v Sydney United 58 2 @ Penshurst Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
Sydney United 58 earned a 2-0 win over St George City on Sunday afternoon at Penshurst Park to conclude the regular 2025 NPL Men’s NSW campaign and have booked itself an Elimination Final date this Wednesday night against rivals Marconi.
Second half-goals to Marco Arambasic and Mason Wells secured the win for United 58 as they go into finals football in winning form.
Blacktown City FC 1 v Wollongong Wolves 0 @ Landen Stadium – Full Match Report and Highlights
Blacktown City head into finals football in fifth place and will take on Rockdale Ilinden in the Elimination Final on Wednesday evening after a solid 1-0 win over Wollongong Wolves at Landen Stadium.
Both teams were without most of their top players and played the first half pretty safe, heading to the sheds level at 0-0.
Blacktown City were the ones to claim the sole goal of the match, with Jacob Maniti picking up his first of the season for a 1-0 Blacktown win.
Central Coast Mariners 0 v WSW 3 @ Pluim Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
The Western Sydney Wanderers secured a crucial 3-0 victory over the Central Coast Mariners at Pluim Park on Sunday afternoon, ruling out any chance of relegation from the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition for the 2026 season.
After a steady goalless first half, the visitors kicked into action in the second stanza with goals from Awan Lual, Alaat Abdul-Rahman and Johnny Pavlovic unanswered by the Mariners.
Mt Druitt Town Rangers 1 v NWS Spirit FC 1 @ Popondetta Park – Full Match Report and Highlights
It wasn’t to be for the Mount Druitt Town Rangers as they were relegated from the NPL Men’s NSW competition following a 1-1 draw against 2025 Premiers NWS Spirit FC at Popondetta Park on Sunday.
The Rangers had to play a majority of the game with 10 men after Danilo Doce Monteiro saw red in the 15th minute as they fought for their survival in the NPL Men’s NSW competition.
NWS Spirit FC turned the task into a momentous one when Harry Keys stroked home in the 35th minute for 1-0 to give the visitors a lead at the half-time break.
Thomas Lopez gave the Rangers some hope in the second half curling home a free-kick for 1-1 in the 52nd minute and set up a pulsating final half hour of the game.
NWS Spirit FC held off the fast-finishing Rangers in a score draw which condemned them to life in League One Men’s in 2026.
Post match NWS Spirit FC were officially awarded the Premiership trophy as David Perkovic’s men lifted it high into the sky in what’s been a historic year for the club who hope to clinch the double with the Championship now on their minds.
