Alec Urosevski snapped up by Bankstown City FC

It’s been regarded as one of the biggest transfer moves in the last several seasons in NSW, ambitious Football NSW League One Men’s side Bankstown City FC have secured the services of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s all-time leading goalscorer Alec Urosevski for the 2026 season.

Urosevski announced his departure from Rockdale Ilinden after finishing up as the club’s all time leading top goalscorer where the ace marksman scored an incredible 172 goals in 273 matches in an era that saw him captain the club to its first ever Premiership in forty years as well as having collected the NPL Men’s NSW Player of the Year in 2024 along with a couple Golden Boot accolades including this season.

“End of an era.

“After giving everything for Rockdale, it’s time for a new chapter,” Urosevski said in a social post.

“Grateful for all the memories, the coaches who backed me, the teammates who stood alongside me, and the fans who showed up through all ups and downs.

“Proud to have captained our first Premiership in 40 plus years and to finish as all-time leading goalscorer with 172 goals in 273 matches.

“To my wife and kids, thank you for being my best supporters through it all. Rockdale will always be a part of my story.”

The 31-year-old was officially announced a Bankstown City FC player on Wednesday evening as the club hopes to return to the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition and bring back the glory days which saw them clinch 4 Championships as well as 2 Premierships along with 2 Waratah Cup triumphs.

The club is set to announce several other NPL Men’s NSW stars in the coming weeks but the signing of Urosevski is a massive statement that Bankstown City FC want to relive the golden days once more.
