National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW side St George FC players have put their strength behind a meaningful cause, taking part in a high-intensity Movember charity workout to raise awareness for men’s mental health.

Four first-team players — Evan Souris, Nicholas Kalogerou, Jayden Seeto and new signing Sebastian La-Luz joined a 45-minute “sweat session” at C3 Training in Ramsgate, the club’s newest sponsor. Injured teammate Harrison Farrow was also on hand to offer moral support.

The demanding circuit saw the players rotate through ski machines, rowing machines and exercise bikes, combined with alternating dumbbell and barbell movements including bench presses, lateral raises, lunges and back squats.

C3 Training’s annual Movember event is its largest charity initiative, aimed at raising funds and awareness for men’s mental health on a global scale. For the St George FC players, the cause hit home.

“It was a lot of fun and a great bonding session — we encouraged each other the whole way through,” said midfielder Evan Souris.

“It was definitely harder than I expected, but combining men’s health with a sporting activity is a smart initiative. It brings mental and physical wellbeing together.”

Movember is recognised worldwide as the “hairiest month of the year,” with moustaches sparking conversations around mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Participants at the event were supplied with novelty moustaches and received Movember socks, with all donations going directly to the charity.

C3 Training Head of Operations and Franchiser Nico Guerrero praised the community’s response.
“On an unforgettable day at C3 Training, we raised over $4,000 for Movember while celebrating camaraderie and the spirit of giving. With laughter, music and a shared purpose, we made a real difference. Thank you to everyone who joined us in this important cause.”
