St George FC Ready for Fresh Start in NPL Men’s NSW Under Raphael Marie

St George FC will enter the upcoming National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW season ushering in a new era, with head coach Raphael Marie set to lead the club into 2026 following a busy off-season of squad reshaping.

The club has farewelled nine players from its 2025 campaign, with Mackenzie Syron, Daniel Axford, Chan Yelchan, Sunday Yona, Nikola Skataric, Jesper Webber, Gianni Di Pizio, Bai Antoniou and Aedan O’Shea all moving on as St George look to refresh their playing group.

In response, St George FC have made several key additions, headlined by the signing of former Rockdale Ilinden goalkeeper Nicholas Sorras. The club has also bolstered its attacking options with the arrival of proven goalscorer Jake Trew, alongside Sebastian La Luz, Stevan Stanic-Floody, Christopher McStay, Harry Keys and Katsuyoshi Kimishima, all of whom will be looking to make an immediate impact.

Continuing the club’s commitment to its development pathway, St George have promoted four players from their Under 20s squad, with Javier Rodriguez, Kota Toyooka, Matt Macarthur and Harrison Farrow earning opportunities at senior level ahead of the new campaign.

Stability remains within the core of the squad, with club captain Troy Danaskos once again set to lead the side. Jayden Seeto, Nicholas Kalogerou, Pat O’Shea, Justin Poon, Evan Souris, Jaden Casella, Anthony Morabito and Mark Rodic have all re-signed following the 2025 season, providing valuable experience as the club looks to build consistency under its new head coach.

The Raphael Marie era officially begins with a challenging opening assignment, as St George FC host Wollongong Wolves in a Round 1 clash on Saturday, 7 February at Barton Park, setting the stage for what promises to be an intriguing NPL Men’s NSW season.
