At just 19 years of age, Western Sydney Wanderers young gun Awan Lual is proving to be one of the brightest attacking talents in the NPL Men’s NSW competition.

The talented striker has been in outstanding form in front of goal throughout the 2026 season, currently sitting atop of the Golden Boot standings with 17 goals from 20 appearances for the Red and Black.

Lual’s performances have been one of the standout stories of the NPL Men’s NSW season, with his goalscoring exploits providing a major highlight for Western Sydney Wanderers and reinforcing his potential as one of the competition’s most exciting young forwards.

His form has not gone unnoticed, with Lual recently earning senior recognition after making an appearance for the Wanderers in their Hahn Australia Cup Round of 32 victory over Cooma Tigers. That’s off the back of getting some minutes with the senior squad in the A-League last season.

The teenager currently leads Marconi Stallions’ Damien Tsekenis by two goals, sits three goals ahead of Rockdale Ilinden’s Moudi Najjar and four goals clear of APIA Leichhardt FC’s Presley Ortiz.
