St George FC And Northern Tigers Set For Promotion/Relegation Playoff

Football NSW has confirmed the fixture details for the all-important two-legged NPL Men’s NSW/FNSW League One Men’s Promotion/Relegation Playoff between St George FC and Northern Tigers FC.

The two sides will battle across two legs for a place in the NPL Men’s NSW competition for the 2027 season, with everything to play for over the next fortnight.

First Leg

Northern Tigers v St George FC
Saturday, 5 September
6:30pm
North Turramurra Recreation Area

Northern Tigers will have home advantage in the opening leg, with the League One Men’s side looking to establish an advantage ahead of the return fixture.

Second Leg

St George FC v Northern Tigers
Saturday, 12 September
6:30pm
Barton Park

The tie will then head to Barton Park for the second leg, where St George FC will have home advantage as both clubs fight to secure their place in NSW’s top flight.

For St George FC, the playoff represents an opportunity to preserve their NPL Men’s NSW status after finishing the regular season in the relegation zone.

Northern Tigers, meanwhile, earned their place in the playoff after finishing second in the FNSW League One Men’s competition, setting up a huge opportunity to return to the state’s top tier.
