Manly United bragging about Daniel

24 February , 2015 By Football NSW Leave a Comment

RECENT time spent training with Spanish La Liga giants Valencia has Daniel Bragg primed for a massive campaign with Manly United FC.

The classy central midfielder arrives at Cromer Park following spells last year with APIA Leichhardt Tigers and Sydney United 58 FC.
Renowned for his crisp passing, the 22-year-old could prove to be an astute signing by United coach Paul Dee.
"When he (Dee) gave me a call, it was a simple decision, I like his football philosophy,” Bragg told Football NSW.
"Manly have plenty of young boys who are keen to achieve big things.
"The culture at the club is great and everyone has made me feel welcome.
" I expect us (Manly) to be in the mix for the top five – we will shock a few teams, no doubt about that."
Bragg was a Blacktown City FC junior while attending Westfields Sports High and turned out for Central Coast Mariners in the National Youth League.
He was also on the books of the now defunct Gold Coast United in 2011/12, making three A-League appearances.
"I really enjoyed my time up there, training every day and living the life of a professional footballer,” he said.
"I know I have time on my side, and after having that taste I would definitely love another crack at that level over the next few years.
"But I am not getting ahead of myself, I need to perform week in, week out for Manly to be in the frame."
Bragg recently returned home from two months in Spain.
Training with Valencia’s and Levante’s youth squads as well as a few cameos for Spanish third and fourth division clubs was eye opening.
"It was intense, football over there is a religion,” he said.
"I loved it, it provided an insight into the level I need to be at every time I step out on to the pitch.
"As a central midfielder, I need to be on the ball constantly – seeing how the guys went about things was very helpful."
