Cosentino appointed head coach as Desmond takes new role

10 July , 2020 By Mark Stavroulakis

Mount Druitt Town Rangers will be have a new coach during the reboot of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s season after announcing Franco Cosentino will take over the reins from Aidan Desmond who has taken up a position in management at the club.

Desmond has played a pivotal role in steering the Rangers through to the top tier of the NPL in NSW when the club won promotion in 2018 where he also took out the ‘Coach of the Year’ plaudits in the NPL NSW Men’s 2 competition.

Since joining the club in 2014, Desmond was appointed as the club’s Technical Director and had set his sights in getting the club towards the top levels of the NPL NSW Men’s competition which he succeeded in doing.

He will now move into a management position within the club to help focus on more resources on building and planning for the future at the Rangers.

Cosentino is no stranger to the NPL NSW Men’s competition having been involved in the setup for quite some time now, his experience will be vital in gearing the squad for this year and beyond.
