Sydney FC 0 v Marconi 4 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Full Match Report and Highlights

The Marconi Stallions confidently secured three points with a 4-0 win over Sydney FC at Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre on Friday night ending the Sky Blues’ four match unbeaten streak.

The Stallions travelled to Rockdale with a mixed bag of recent results but marked their intentions early on with a goal from James Temelkovski in the 6th minute.

Fans waited until the 38th minute for another goal, this time from Franco Maya and Cameron Windust secured a third for the visitors before the half-time break.

Substitute Yuki Kitano secured a fourth for the Stallions in the 72nd minute, wrapping up the goals for the match despite plenty of further opportunity around the pitch.

The result sees Marconi in second position on the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s live ladder, while Sydney FC continue to struggle near the bottom of the ladder at 15th position.

Sutherland Sharks 0 v Sydney United 58 1 at Seymour Shaw – Full Match Report and Highlights

Sydney United 58 have left Seymour Shaw with a worthy 1-0 victory over the relegation threatened Sutherland Sharks to continue its push for a finals series spot.

United 58 Japanese maestro Shunta Nakamura is to thank as he produced a stellar effort in the 31st minute that gave coach Zeljko Kalac something to smile about.

The win for the visitors has now seen them go unbeaten in 12 straight encounters v the Sharks.

Sydney Olympic 2 v Manly United 1 at Belmore Sports Ground – Full Match Report and Highlights

Sydney Olympic were made to work for their narrow 2-1 victory against Manly United in the Round 22 encounter of the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW at the Belmore Sports Ground on Saturday.

After going down to an early penalty which was successfully converted by Peter Kekeris, Sydney Olympic fought back and in the end, with a convincing second half, steamrolled Manly United thanks to a brace from Roy O’Donovan.

Central Coast Mariners 3 v NWS Spirit FC 0 at Pluim Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

Central Coast Mariners have drawn closer to staving off relegation in the NPL NSW Men’s competition, securing a crucial 3-0 victory over NWS Spirit in round 22 at Pluim Park.

The hosts took full advantage of a red card to Spirit’s Kyle Shaw on the half hour mark, running in three second half goals through Nicholas Duarte, Arthur De Lima and Harry Menham in spectacular fashion.

APIA Leichhardt FC 5 v St George FC 0 at Lambert Park – Full Match Report and Highlights

APIA Leichhardt have secured an important three points at Lambert Park with a strong 5-0 win over St George FC.

The home side opened the scoring with a stunner from Jack Stewart, before adding two more goals in the first half courtesy of goals from Luigi Ditroia and Jack Armson.

Substitutes Jordan Segreto and Alex Denmead then added goals of their own in the second stanza to create some positive momentum for their last ten NPL Men’s NSW regular season matches of the season.

Landen Stadium is a fortress no more as Blacktown City suffered its second successive loss following a 2-1 defeat at the hands of a determined St George City outfit on Saturday evening.

The hosts took lead in the 31st minute with a collector’s item header off a corner from defender Ben Berry before they were pegged back.

St George City’s comeback started in the 78th minute when Dominic Cox thrashed home to make it 1-1 then Kosta Petratos bagged the winner in the 86th minute much to the delight for coach and former City player Mirko Jurilj.

A goal in each half saw Wollongong Wolves defeat Western Sydney Wanderers 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Wanderers Football Park as the South Coast side inflicted more pain on its hosts in Sydney’s West.

An outstanding strike from Sebastian Hernandez gave the side the lead before Lachlan Scott added a second soon after halftime to secure the three points for David Carney’s troops.

Rockdale Ilinden have extended their lead at the top of the ladder with a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Hills United at Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre.

The home side opened the scoring with a rapid counter-attack which was finished off by Hunter Elliott, before Alec Urosevski converted a penalty to double Rockdale’s lead.

Urosevski then scored twice more to make it a hat-trick, with Lochlan Constable then adding his name to the scoresheet in a five-star performance from the league leaders.
